Data workers to rely more on automation in the Gulf

It was recently reported that most data workers in the Gulf are relying on automation to perform manual duties.

Indeed, a study by YouGov showed that around 50% of employees in the region are using automation for their day-to-day tasks, advancing the benefits of artificial intelligence (AI) innovation. 58% of workers were then able to get faster results through the use of analytics technology compared to five years before.

However, the region is still slowed down by inconsistently applied training programs, as only experts and qualified scientists are receiving data upskilling. This prevents the Gulf from truly advancing in AI innovation. It is then essential that training become available for all data workers in the region.
