Voice tech and virtual assistants to grow in the US

A recent survey by Vixen Labs revealed that 66% of respondents in the US are interacting with virtual assistants and smart speakers while 31% use voice tech daily.

Indeed, it was reported that most people use voice tech for basic tasks such as checking the weather but 25% of respondents are using it to make purchases regularly. More people are also starting to use it in work-centric activities, like making a phone call or automating tasks.

Moreover, the study highlighted that more people were using voice tech to do searches for retail and health-and-wellness queries. It reported a strong trend toward wider use of voice tech to learn about products and companies. 80% of respondents declared wanting to use voice interfaces to visit a product’s website or find information on YouTube.

Hence, 45% of respondents stated they use voice assistants as it is faster than typing and is a better way to search for information. However, half of them are anxious about the privacy of their data when using voice tech.
