Consumer tech enterprise Servify to open new office in Whitby

Consumer technology enterprise, Servify, is to open a new office in Whitby, ON.

The India headquartered Servify – who deliver ‘consumer happiness’ across the post-sales lifecycle for products that touch daily lives – has selected Whitby to be the location of its Canadian office, in a collaborative effort between Toronto Global, The Regional Municipality of Durham’s Economic Development and Tourism Division, the Town of Whitby and tech-innovation accelerator, 1855 Whitby.

John Henry, regional chair and chief executive officer for the Regional Municipality of Durham, said: “Durham Region is honoured to be selected for Servify’s regional office. We welcome the opportunity to showcase the many elements – from our infrastructure readiness and strong talent pool, to our innovative ecosystems – that continue to make Durham a smart choice for investors.”

Mayor of Whitby, Don Mitchell, said: “We are excited to have Servify choose Whitby to grow their business. The investment by the Town into 1855 demonstrates our commitment to grow innovation and technology in our downtown. Servify’s move to Whitby also highlights the fact that our community is a great place to live, play and do business.”

Factors that influenced Servify’s choice to establish a regional office in Whitby included Durham Region’s integrated transportation network, quality of life and large tech workforce, which is fuelled by Durham College and Ontario Tech University.

The company’s Senior Director will be operating out of 1855 Whitby, with Servify having immediate plans to grow its sales base and North American market; creating specialized technology jobs locally and regionally.

Stephanie Mann, CEO of 1855 Whitby, said: “We look forward to supporting the North American growth of this highly innovative company and helping their team establish roots here in Whitby.”

Toby Lennox, CEO of Toronto Global, said: “We are thrilled to welcome Servify to the Toronto Region. We were so pleased to work with our colleagues at the Regional Municipality of Durham, the Town of Whitby and 1855 to assist Servify with establishing operations in Whitby.
