IT professionals to be needed in automation

As the tech industry is struggling with an industry-wide shortage of skillsets, organisations are turning more towards careers in automation.

Indeed, IT professionals are now more required to have an understanding of the business’s operations and workflows to apply automation to IT processes. Simple IT tasks are then often handled with automation and professionals will need software development skills, and familiarity with key IT Ops tools to manage these systems.

Moreover,  sophisticated processes with more complex automation will require DevOps skills and familiarity with tools like GitHub, or log management tools like Splunk. IT professionals will also need to have scripting and coding skills to automate the tasks.

Hence, it is clearer than ever that automation is the future and the demand for it will only increase.
