According to the Association for Advancing Automation, North American companies have accelerated their spending on industrial robots in the first quarter of 2021.

Indeed, companies all over North America have ordered 9,098 robots, a 19.6% increase compared to 2020, which witnessed a surge in demands in the wake of the pandemic. It was then stated that robots were moving into more industries such as e-commerce warehouses and food processing plants.

Metal producers’ orders surged by 86% while life science, pharmaceutical, and biomedical companies’ orders rose by 72%. Similarly, consumer goods companies’ orders increased by 32%.
