Partnership looks to to boost Asia’s media offering

Technology investment holding company mTouche is working with Octa Gravity to boost its media offering in Southeast Asia.

According to The Edge Markets, the Thai software and artificial intelligence (AI) technology development company said it entered into a partnership with Octa Gravity to develop and market the digital media and infotainment platform.

For markets in Southeast Asia’s region, mTouche will have exclusive rights to commercialise its newly developed platform, with help from Octa, who specialises in cloud computing, image processing, entertainment application, computer game development and AI technology.

mTouche said in a recent statement: “Together we will make significant mutual commitments and investments in AI technology and enhance product development efforts of the new digital media and infotainment platform, secured database solution, data analytic tools and any other related solutions.

“The alliance between the companies is a long-term collaboration which is expected to deliver the enhancement to the data analytic, with the ultimate goal to build up the deep learning framework and smart decision-making capability within the next five years during the contract period.”

mTouche also noted that machine-learning technologies could help its platform learn from online user activities, enabling the social platform to understand user behaviour and insight.
