QualiTest reveals consumer habits could ‘make or break’ retailers

A recent survey conducted by QualiTest Group revealed bugs and glitches could “make or break” online retailers.

The survey found that 70% of online shoppers are unlikely to buy a gift if online customer reviews of the product mention bugs or glitches.

Additionally, 65% of consumers will only wait up to five minutes for a glitch to be resolved while purchasing a gift online before giving up on placing the order.

While 45% of consumers who experienced a glitch when shopping online are unlikely to follow through with their purchase on that site, even if the gift is available.

‘Retailers should be wary of bugs and glitches’

Ayal Zylberman, CEO of QualiTest, said: “With the holiday season upon us, e-commerce stakes are high. Retailers should be wary of bugs and glitches in their products and on their sites as they stand to either gain or lose an immense amount based on the user experience they provide their online customers.

“Quality assurance and software testing are vital to ensuring that e-commerce runs smoothly, offering holiday shoppers the seamless purchasing experience they demand when choosing to buy gifts online instead of in-store.”

The survey was conducted in November 2017 by more than 1,000 respondents from the United States between the ages of 18 and 65.
