Schneider Electric recently announced the appointment of the new executive VP of their global Industrial Automation business, Barbara Frei.

Frei, who is taking over from Peter Herweck, has previously been the executive VP for the company’s Europe operation since 2019. She will continue to act as a member of the company’s executive committee.

In this new role, Frei will enable Schneider Electric’s customers and partners to benefit from the next-generation, sustainable, resilient, and people-centric ‘Industries of the Future’ solutions, as well as reinforce universal automation. She will then bring business and engineering expertise into her new role, alongside a deep understanding of the telecommunications industry.
