Shopping centre developer ‘enhances’ customer experience

Citycon has “grasped” Visit Intelligence, in a bid to optimise its shopping centre operations and to enhance its customers’ shopping experience.

The leading developer of shopping centres and Visit Intelligence have reached an exclusive multi-year agreement to deploy visitor behavior analytics to Citycon’s shopping centres in the Nordics and Baltics.

Visit includes seamlessly integrated visitor counting, public Wi-Fi, and advanced location-based analytics.

‘Enhancing customer experience’

The rollout, which is estimated to be completed during the first half of 2018, includes thousands of sensors providing a holistic view of people flows in the shopping centres.

Kirsi Simola-Laaksonen, vice president at Audit, said: “After a careful review of global top players, we decided to choose Visit Intelligence as our partner. Visit was the most relevant solution able to provide a comprehensive toolkit fulfilling our operational requirements.”

The unified public Wi-Fi across the key Citycon shopping centers “enhances customer experience”; reinventing themselves as “social hubs” where people meet, eat and enjoy their time together.

‘Developing and managing the shopping centre’

Siim Rosenthal, the shopping centre manager of Iso Omena, added: “After a successful pilot in one of our flagship centres in Finland, Iso Omena, we have witnessed that the usability of information Visit provides is essential for developing and managing the shopping center.”

The executive vice president of Visit Intelligence also noted the market is now ripe for adapting new intelligent analytics tools.
