Tesla CEO declared that latest beta self-driving software needs improvement

Elon Musk, Tesla CEO, recently stated that his company’s latest experimental driver-assistance software needs work.

Indeed, it was reported that the Full Self-Driving capability (FSD) Beta 9.2 wasn’t all that great. Yet, the Autopilot and AI team are said to be currently working on it to improving it as fast as possible.

Tesla offers a premium driver assistance system to customers but doesn’t make electric vehicles safe without a driver behind the wheel. Hence, FSD Beta is only available to the people who purchased FSD or to Tesla employees.

This beta version includes new or newly revised functionality that is added to the car’s premium driver assistance features. Besides, FSD also aims to enable Tesla vehicles to automatically change lanes, navigate on the highway, move into a parking spot, among others, without anyone behind the wheel.

This comment from Tesla CEO comes after an investigation was launched into Tesla’s Autopilot system by federal vehicle safety authorities in the US the previous week. Thus, the safety of these self-driving vehicles is currently contested.
