It was recently reported that China would have won the artificial intelligence (AI) battle with the United States as it is heading towards global dominance with its technological advances.
Indeed, Pentagon’s former software chief revealed that China would likely dominate most of the key emerging technologies within the decade, including AI, synthetic biology, and genetics. He also declared that the slow pace of technological transformation in the US and its failure to respond was putting the country at risk. According to him, this is already done and the United States has no competing chance against China.
Moreover, he said that slow innovation, as well as the reluctance of U.S. companies to work with the state on AI and extensive ethical debates over the technology, are at fault. Besides, the state of the US cyber defense is also not up to date.
