Cognizant and clients win at The European Software Testing Awards

Cognizant and its clients bagged nine awards at The European Software Testing Awards 2015.

Now in its third year, The European Software Testing Awards celebrate companies and individuals who have accomplished significant achievements in the software testing and quality assurance market. The awards ceremony, held in London on November 18, 2015, was attended by hundreds of software testing professionals.

Winning entries

Cognizant and its clients won the top honours in the following categories:

Borland European Software Testing Award: This main and overall recognition, awarded to the tester, manager or team that excelled in all areas and surpassed every other individual, project or organization within the industry, was won by client John Lewis.

Best Overall Project – Retail Sector: This recognition, awarded to the most outstanding testing project in the retail sector, was bagged by client John Lewis.

Leading Vendor: This recognition, awarded to the vendor who receives top marks for product/service and customer service, was bagged by Cognizant for its commitment to high quality and standards to customers and customer satisfaction, value for money, and reliability, flexibility and speed of installation.

Best Overall Project – Finance Sector: This recognition, awarded to the most outstanding testing project in the finance sector, was won by Cognizant for working closely with the client organisation to deliver projects on time and within budget, being responsive to different and/or complex needs of the client, effective utilisation of a best practice method/technique, a successful outcome that met the aims and targets set, and commitment to high quality and standards.

Sogeti Green Testing Team of the Year: This recognition, awarded to the testing team that has shown the biggest commitment to environmental and corporate social initiatives, was bagged by Cognizant for its commitment to environmental initiatives and corporate social initiatives, adoption of technologies to save resources, time and manpower, effective utilisation of a best practice method/technique, a successful outcome that met the aims and targets set, and commitment to high quality and standards.

Ranorex Best Test Automation Project: This award was won by client William Hill Online for demonstrating the best use of automation in a software testing project and utilisation of a well-developed test suite of testing scripts.

Best Overall Use of Technology: Cognizant bagged this award for outstanding and effective application of the latest, most up-to-date technology in a testing project.

Testing Management Team of the Year: This award for outstanding leadership was won by Lloyds Banking Group for consistent and outstanding leadership skills, excellent people management skills, outstanding communication with the software testing team, procedures put in place to ensure high quality results, and alignment with the latest guidelines and trends.

Best Use of Tools: Lloyds Banking Group won this award for the best use of software testing tools in a project in partnership with Cognizant for effective use of tools to support and successfully complete the project on time, and correct use of pre-set algorithms and rules to produce an evaluation of the project.
