Innovation Point’s Welsh Digital Dozen programme

Digital innovation company, Innovation Point, has launched its first ever Welsh national tech accelerator programme called the Digital Dozen.

In a bid to “fast-track the best and brightest start-ups and scale-ups”, the programme will run for six-months, giving Welsh businesses the opportunity to grow within the industry through training.

The ‘new Digital Dozens’ include: Open Genius, Properr, Disberse, Simply Do Ideas, Talkative, Geolang, Do-IT Solutions, University Cribs, Zone Art Networks and Codeherent.

Tech industry entrepreneurs such as Webstart Bristol, Lexington and White Horse Capital will offer them one-to-one mentoring, pitch training, access to networking events and investment advice.

‘Taking businesses to the next level’

Colin Batten, Digital Dozen Accelerator at Innovation Point said: “We have worked with successful accelerators across the UK, Europe and the US to gauge what does and doesn’t work, while speaking to companies throughout Wales about the support and connections they feel would best empower them to take their business to the next level.”

“With the added support, expertise and guiding hands from proven entrepreneurs, this year looks to be the biggest yet. We can’t wait to see where the programme takes these leading innovative companies,” added Innovation Point CEO, David Warrender.

The finalists will meet in Wales on 11 July 2017 to get to know their peers and celebrate their success, ready for six-months of training.
