Europe’s enterprise IT event, IP EXPO Europe, took over Excel, London, for its 12th event yesterday, showcasing new, exclusive content and senior-level insights from across the industry, as well as unveiling the “latest” developments.
Diving into where science and IT collide, Brian Cox OBE from IP EXPO Europe, “kicked-off” his keynote, explaining how technologies, like IoT, analytics and artificial intelligence (AI), are “driving” an IT revolution towards more storage, innovative solutions and computer “power”.
Conrad Wolfram, strategic director at Wolfram Research, shared his thoughts on why, in this age of analytics-driven decision-making and AI, organisations are often disappointed with the results.
Garry Kasparov, security ambassador at Avast, explored into whether or not super-intelligent AI is compatible with human existence.
Whilst Brad Anderson, vice-president for enterprise mobility at Microsoft, spoke about the company’s new technologies, designed to protect businesses from damaging online threats.
Additional highlights from yesterday’s IP EXPO Europe 2017 included:

- A forward-thinking talk by Adrian Hornsby, technical evangelist at Amazon Web Services covering the AWS IoT platform, latest developments and live demos & walk-throughs featuring Raspberry Pi.
- A comprehensive view on the future of AI, both sophisticated and automated, by Dave Palmer, director of technology at Darktrace.
