Lethbridge College to launch learning opportunity in the metaverse

The Lethbridge College is set to launch a work-integrated learning opportunity to allow students to occupy property in the metaverse.

Indeed, the College’s Centre for Technology, Environment, and Design (CTED) is collaborating with Liquid Avatar Technologies to help create a virtual world for students by the end of the winter 2022 semester. Students will then be able to build on the virtual islands and develop structures and businesses and complete transactions.

By doing so, each student will receive a plot of virtual land and the assets associated, which will provide them with virtual events, learning, and other services within the metaverse. This opportunity will help students to gain a better understanding of digital space and digital identity as well as get to work with experts in the field.
