NASA software to be accessible to the public for free

It was recently announced that software developed by NASA can be downloaded and used by the public for free.

Indeed, it was reported that the technology is now available for free to the public and can be used and adapted across industries and businesses in the United States. Some of NASA programs include TetrUSS, which enables users to improve designs for aircraft, automobiles, and boats, as well as gauge architectural aerodynamics and assist in plane crash investigations.

Another program is WorldWind, which helps decision-makers manage scarce resources and helps researchers understand climate impacts on freshwater resources. NASA’s latest software catalogue that features hundreds of programs is also available for free download.

By doing so, NASA is trying to help mitigate the effects of human-made climate change and allow entrepreneurs, business owners, academia, and other government agencies to solve real problems.
