Neustar’s International DDoS Awareness Day

Neustar announced the launch of International DDoS Awareness Day; its virtual conference to be held on 24 October 2017 for security professionals around the globe.

The conference will feature technical tips, expert opinions and security best practices.

Attendees will receive advice on robust cyber security measures, mitigation planning and security strategies, as well as learn how to protect their organisations against DDoS attack and cyber threats.

Rodney Joffe, senior vice president at Neustar, said: “Cyber attacks have increased in frequency and complexity over the last few years, with more organisations falling victim to the debilitating effects.

“DDoS is a huge part of this, making it essential for business leaders around the world to better understand the cybersecurity landscape, and how best to defend against the ongoing assaults that impact networks, reputations and – ultimately – the business bottom line.”

Robert Hannigan, former director of GCHQ, added: “Through greater awareness and understanding of cyber security best practices, security professionals in business and government can proactively plan and share knowledge to improve protection and defences.”
