Sony is searching for new and current PS4 users to sign up to test and experience its new system software update 4.0 for PlayStation 4.

Sony has a history of crowdsourcing beta tests.

“We’ve been hard at work on the next PS4 system software update, and could use your help testing it ahead of the official launch,” explains John Koller, VP of PlayStation Brand Marketing at Sony. “Starting today, you can sign up for a chance to be a beta tester and get an advance look at some of the improvements and new features coming to PS4.”

European PS4 users can sign up here to test the software, and gamers in the US can use this link.

Sony hasn’t detailed what new features will be offered in the version 4.0, but is looking to use feedback from the beta testers before going live.
