Telecom company Cogeco has SBTi-approved plans to reduce emissions

The telecommunication company Cogeco’s plan to reduce its emissions from operations by 65% by 2030 has recently been approved by the Science-Based Target initiatives (STBi).

Hence, the company is aiming to hold its suppliers accountable by requiring 50% of them to set science-based emissions reduction targets by 2025. Cogeco also wants to reduce emissions from the use of its products and employee commuting by 30% by 2030.

Cogeco then became the first and only telecommunication company in Canada to have SBTi-approved targets, showing its commitment to climate action and sustainable growth.
