Wix’s new web application solution

Wix has introduced a new solution called WixCode, which allows users to create powerful web applications

The cloud-based web development platform’s solution opens new possibilities for designers, creators and developers looking to build a simple web application, with custom business logic and user interface.

Wixcode removes the hassle of setting up and maintaining web environments, allows developers to focus their time on their application logic, whilst enhancing capabilities using JavaScript for front-end interactivity and design or with back-end functionality.

‘Allowing users to incorporate advanced features’

Wix Co-founder and CEO, Avishai Abrahami, said: “With Wix Code, we’ve already built the infrastructure and are providing a platform with the freedom and flexibility for users to create custom solutions without the hassle normally associated with setup and maintenance. There was no way that we could have possibly provided a vertical solution for every one of our global users, but we were determined to give them a way to do it themselves.”

Allowing users to incorporate advanced features that were previously only available through custom code, Wix Code “makes it simple” for non-developers to use databases, databound UI components and end user custom forms through “dragging and dropping technology”.
