Huawei to focus on software and cloud products

Huawei recently announced that it would be focusing on software after U.S. sanctions affected deeply its hardware business.

Indeed, the sanctions set by the US administration have caused smartphone sales to drop after the company was put on a blacklist and unable to access American technology.

As a result, the company has decided to turn towards software areas such as cloud computing and smart cars in order to keep ahead of the competition and increase its software and service business.

Hence, Huawei is then expected to become like Google by working on in-care software and cloud computing products. The company has also improved its HarmonyOS so that it can work across different devices from smartphones to TVs and cars.

By doing so, Huawei is set to challenge some of China’s biggest technology companies.
