Meet Delia Brown, Head of Test at Home Office Technology, Test Design and Consultancy Services (TDCS)

Delia Brown, Head of Test at Home Office Technology, Test Design and Consultancy Services (TDCS), has many years’ IT experience within the financial services industry. She currently manages delivery of the Ministry of Justice and Department for Education portfolios for TDCS, placing her in a fantastic position to judge this year’s European Software Testing Awards.

When asked why she wanted to judge, Delia said, “What made me want to do it? Personal interest. Also, an interest in the software testing industry. I think it will be insightful from my point of view, to see what’s been done across the industry.”

What are the judges looking for in entrants?

“It obviously depends on the category, but one of the important things for me, hopefully we’re doing it better these days, is putting forward something that is actually supporting business goals.” Delia continued by saying, “Enabling the delivery of business goals, and bringing something above and beyond what you would expect, so whether that’s technical innovation or something surrounding people and approach. A project above and beyond the norm.”

Why should companies enter the awards?

Delia said, “The acknowledgement of what’s good in the industry and the acknowledgement of the people that have contributed towards that goal, whether at a company, team or individual level, is very important.”

Entries for the awards close on Friday, 15th July 2016 and the finalists will be announced on Tuesday, 30th August 2016. Submit your entry now!
