This week, President Donald Trump signed an executive order, which outlines nine principles that the US government will have to stick to when creating and adopting AI technology.

This new order promised to support constitutional rights and laws to protect privacy and civil liberties. It will make sure that the systems in place are appropriate, transparent, and especially, monitored.

It will also ensure that the agencies that will be deploying the software are held accountable to guarantee that these principles are being respected.

The order stated that AI will drive the growth of the country and that everyone, individuals to agencies can benefit from it. Therefore, they are encouraged to continue using AI for good purposes. The implementation of AI will depend however on public trust.
