Bosch released new domain computer for software-defined vehicles

Bosch has recently released a new domain computer that is designed to run the infotainment system in future software-defined vehicles.

Indeed, as automakers are moving towards more powerful computers designed to operate various domains, it is then expected that new domain controllers will pave the way for expanded features and capability for autonomous driving.

Hence, the Bosch computer was created in partnership with several technology companies and is aimed at infotainment functions, such as in-car communication, in-car payment, video streaming and voice assistants. This is flexible so it is possible to add features developed in-house to those already built-in. It also means that it can be used across different model lines.

With the Information domain computer, the company is aiming to provide connectivity and computing power to the modern world of mobility.
