Driven by digital transformation and modernisation efforts, many organisations are focused on IT projects and allocating more budget to IT services.
Indeed, a recent report by SWZC found that more than 75% of companies are planning to implement employee training and spending on emerging anti-ransomware technology solutions in order to protect their devices from security threats.
Moreover, it was reported that 19% of the budgets will be dedicated to laptops and 14% to servers as workloads shift away from on-premises data centres. IT budgets are focusing more on hosted and cloud-based services.
It noted that 50% of all business workloads are expected to run in the cloud by 2023. Hence, the budget for cloud-based technologies is set to increase significantly in 2022, alongside virtualisation and operating systems, with a decline for on-premises servers.
