Tesla had to call back 50.000 cars due to faulty software

It was recently reported that Tesla has to call back more than 50.000 cars in the US due to faulty self-driving software.

Indeed, some Tesla vehicles equipped with full self-driving software were seen rolling through stop signs without halting. The software is a paid-for update that should lead the way towards completely autonomous cars. After learning about the incidents, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration stated that Tesla should fix the issue as soon as possible through a free software update delivered over the internet.

Moreover, Tesla is under increasing scrutiny over the safety of its full self-driving and autopilot features as more issues were reported recently. Many updates and progress have been made recently on driverless car software but it has still come up against regulators.
